Stetson: The Vermont Packable (product review)

The problem with rollable or crushable fedora style hats is that they normally have that half Scottish countryside, half Australian Outback look with a low, moulded crown, wide brim and leather band. Something that Indiana Jones might have worn when visiting Sean Connery for a weekend of trout shooting. That is until Stetson introduced the Vermont. A (reasonably) high crown fedora with a traditional band that removes it from the great outdoors and brings it mid-century New York, Chicago or San Francisco. What makes this design appear as if a fur-felt original is a new wool textile developed by Stetson called Vitafelt – that is also water repellent and rollable. Wearing the Vermont here is motorcycle enthusiast and founder of the Harry Damson store in Berlin: Herr Harry Damson.
