Eastman Leather & ELMC (UK) Product Review

Several decades ago, Gary Eastman wanted a pristine A2 leather jacket. He had found originals but either in poor condition or too good (and expensive) for everyday use. He decided to deconstruct an ancient example, make a pattern and sew one for himself. What for some might have been a disappointing one-off turned out to be an attractive and functional leather flying jacket, and a business was born. Today, Mr Eastman’s extensive workshops and showroom remain in his hometown of Ivybridge in the south west of England, but now he exports to four continents and supplies Hollywood wardrobe departments with period-correct military clothing. In recent years Gary has expanded his remit on jacket design to reflect his obsession for old motorcycles, which has resulted in the ELMC range of stylish riding jackets in leather and woven fabrics. Here we feature the Cord Ranger.
