The journey continues and our editor-in-chief shows the South of England during spring and early summer as if a vast Arcadian garden. He explains this development over centuries through a brief history of the Grand Tour and the fascination of the land owners with classical proportions and vistas. He sees foxes, roe deer, the common buzzard and the song thrush, and he places items of rugged clothing in that landscape in an attempt to create visual harmony.
