Max Rohr (Italy)

Florence is not Milan. Sorry, a rather facile observation, but in the world of aesthetics an important one. Milan is brash and geometric. A mixture of grey and black with flashes of colour, while Firenze is curvy and constructed on layers of burnt ochre and brown. The ancient city state, situated in the heart of Tuscany, has a softer and slightly more mystical feel and that is reflected in its current art and fashion. Living between Bolzano (in the Italian Alps) and Florence, Max Rohr is a painter, street stylist and knitwear designer. For this publication, it’s the styling element of the individual that is important and at the foundation of this magazine. It is Men’s File’s remit to find those people, who actually influence men’s fashion by their presence on the street, and bring them into focus. Here we see Max in the Bohemian zone of the city, called Oltrarno. Produced by master knitters Maglificio GRP, you can find the Max Rohr collection at Dexter Store on Via Maggio and other good stockists across Europe.
